Cold Celebrates 25 Years of ‘13 Ways To Bleed Onstage’ and 20 years of ‘A Different Kind Of Pain’ Performing Both Albums in Their Entirety at The Gramercy Theatre in New York City

Have you ever experienced a night that you just can’t forget? Last night, Cold took us on a journey at The Gramercy Theatre in NYC, performing the album A Different Kind of Pain and 13 Ways to Bleed in its entirety. That is over 2 hours of live show for Cold alone! What a night!

Thrower opened the stage; they are an energetic and powerful band hailing from Houston, TX, and Baton Rouge, LA. They seamlessly blend elements of hard rock, grunge, metal, and various other genres to craft a distinctive and invigorating sound. Their studio debut album, Blink, produced by Bobby Amaru of Saliva, encapsulates this fusion of influences and vitality, marking the band's first full-length release.

The following band to take the stage was September Mourning. Upon sharing their performance video, my editor revealed that they were the very first band she filmed back in 2017. I was taken aback—how had I not been aware of them before? Their sound was exceptional, and I approached the experience with limited knowledge about them. They blend industrial and metal genres, featuring a dynamic female vocalist whose screams are filled with intensity. The seamless combination of driving riffs and ethereal vocals, supported by a robust foundation of strength and precision, creates an exhilarating auditory experience. I highly recommend attending their shows if they come to a city near you!

Following Cold, an American rock band established in 1996 in Jacksonville, Florida, took the stage. They delivered a powerful performance of their album A Different Kind of Pain, playing each track in sequence from start to finish. Next, they showcased the entire 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage album. The lead vocalist, Scooter Ward, passionately expressed his commitment to mental health advocacy and his unwavering support for fans through both their struggles and triumphs. During the performance, he shared personal anecdotes about how music and performing have profoundly impacted his life, conveying his gratitude for the opportunity to perform worldwide. Ward also reflected on musicians he has known who have tragically passed away. As I scanned the audience, I noticed fans smiling and singing along, myself, included. I put my camera away to fully immerse myself in the experience. The performance concluded with the emotionally charged track "Bleed," leaving a lasting impression.

If you have a chance, catch them live on tour til June. Their performances are known for their electrifying energy and connection with the audience. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of an unforgettable night filled with incredible music, vibrant visuals, and a sense of community among fans. Grab your tickets early, as they tend to sell out quickly!
