Palaye Royale take Amsterdamage from the press room to King’s Cross

Palaye Royale assembled the media at Universal Music Group’s London HQ, where Palaye Royale announced their sixth studio album, Amsterdamage, and a supporting world tour.

Due on 22 January 2027 through Sumerian Records, Amsterdamage arrives with new single “Lost in Translation”, released on the day of the announcement. For brothers Remington Leith, Sebastian Danzig and Emerson Barrett, Friday was an opportunity to introduce what comes next. Asked if the album was darker in reflection of losing their mother, they answered absolutely not. This was still the Palaye Royale energy we know and love.

Times had been tough for the brothers, apparently not talking for the first three months of the year. It was the music that brought them back together, rather than the status quo. Recording and touring has clearly been a crutch to them.

The band went on to list their British influences through punk and mod themes, quoting experiences with Paul Weller and Carl Barat being pivotal to their development. From the day of their Camden Assembly show in 2017, they had a plan of playing venues around London as they grew. The 2027 World Tour will include a return to their dream venue – OVO Wembley Arena. The new goal:

“Three dates at Knebworth”, Remington answered.

Outside the building, there were plenty of people ready to hear more. The band emerged to a crowd of hundreds before making their way to King’s Cross, where an impromptu acoustic performance took shape outside the station’s main entrance on Euston Road.

The four-song set opened with Death or Glory, followed by No Love in LA. Lost in Translation then received its live debut, bringing the afternoon’s announcement straight into the set, before Mr. Doctor Man closed proceedings. The band took time to meet their fans and startled commuters, taking selfies and signing autographs.

There’s something lovely about announcing a world tour and then playing outside a railway station. Fans who had turned up hoping to see the band found themselves at a gig, with a first live outing for a song released that same day.

Next year’s shows see the band levelling up once again. The Amsterdamage World Tour ’27 reaches Manchester’s O2 Apollo on 30 March, Glasgow’s O2 Academy on 31 March and London’s OVO Arena Wembley on 3 April, with a Dublin date at the 3Olympia Theatre on 1 April. Further European dates follow before the North American leg begins in Dallas on 18 April, taking in Toronto, Chicago, Seattle and San Francisco, among others. The tour closes with four consecutive Los Angeles shows, each at a different venue, finishing at The Fonda Theatre on 16 May.

Amsterdamage is available to pre-order now. General ticket sales open at 10am on Friday 9 October.
